A year-long programme that helps a school build a working culture of ideation, innovation and entrepreneurship. Eight virtual sessions, a student challenge, an in-person demo day, and an independent assessment of where your school stands.

The Sessions
Live and online, roughly one a month, each 60 to 75 minutes.

| 2 | Finding problems | Look at school, street and city; turn a complaint into a problem statement. |
| 3 | Ideation | Generate many ideas, then cut them down against real constraints. |
| 4 | Design thinking | Talk to the people who have the problem. Redesign from what they say. |
| 5 | Prototyping | Build a first version from what is at hand, and find out where it fails. |
| 6 | Business model | Who would use it, what it costs, who pays. Case studies of Indian start-ups. |
| 7 | Protecting an idea | What patents, copyright and designs cover, and how to search prior art. |
| 8 | Pitching | Explain it in three minutes, then rehearse against questions. |
One session each year is given by a founder, innovator or researcher from outside the school. Students ask their own questions.
Held in person at the school. Every team presents what it built to students, teachers and parents. A student who has presented work to a room does not forget it.

The Assessment
At the end of the year the school submits a short report on our template. We assess it and award a level from one to five, with a written report on what would move the school up.
Sessions attended, ideas submitted, prototypes built, teams that presented.
Public before the year starts. You know what is measured from day one.
A sample of schools is verified each year by video call.
A school is assessed against a standard, not against other schools. We do not publish a ranking, and no school can pay for a higher level.
After the Demo Day
We tell you which government and national innovation contests are open and when they close. Entering is the school’s own decision and work. We are not affiliated with any of them.
A team can write up its build and submit it to Intellectaa Journal for Teens. Accepted articles are published open access with a permanent DOI.
Not included in iGnite. Reviewed like any other submission, and charged the journal’s standard Article Publishing Charge if accepted.
